The First Visit

Mang visited the government’s drug rehabilitation facility here in Davao City for the first time yesterday (Sept. 25). He escorted a family whose two teenage sons are now confined in the institution. Though tedious and tiring (they had to travel by public utility jeep for 1 1/2 hours), Mang was happy to be able to assist these families and be reunited with their children. This week was declared “National Filipino Family Week” and the drug rehabilitation center is hosting special programs for the patients and their families. The trips to the center are timely. Pray for Mang as he cares for this family and their sons. Pray for wisdom as he helps them start their journey towards healing as a family. Pray, too, for provisions for this project.
