God Increases Our Song

After 39 weeks, a major hospitalization, two months of bed rest, several ultrasound and fetal tests and 19 hours of labor, our second baby was born to us (normal delivery) on the night of September 24. We praise God for this gift of life and beauty to our family.

Josephine Himig Gaston Dousel

Name meaning: Josephine—God increases; Himig—song or melody

Significance of name: She was named after Mang whose English name is “Joseph” (that’s a trivia…many didn’t know this!). The past year brought us trials of sorts but amidst trying times, we experienced an “increase” of God—His presence, favor, provision, faithfulness and love. Through it all, we could only sing a praise song, though difficult and hurting at times, to affirm that indeed God is good.
