MUPT Praise and Prayer Items
Bucana
Praise God for Deborah, James and Markus (Serve Asia Workers or SAWs) who are helping out in various ways. Deborah conducted English tutorials for the youth. James is assisting in the drug rehab project. Markus is involved with the children, engaging them in sports and crafts.
Pray for God to send more workers to help with the growing needs of the ministry in this community.
Praise God for the believers in the community. Pray that they will be encouraged and strengthened in their faith.
Isla Verde
Pray for a continuing impact from the community organizing that had been completed.
Pray for Maimai and Jerry as they care for this community.
Pray for Markus who has started an outreach for the children.
Carmel
Pray for Kalib and Nora as they continue to seek to be God’s light in their community.
Pray for short term volunteers to come to the community to help out in development projects and English tutorials.
Pray for good health for Kalib and his family. His children often get sick.
Zamboanga & Basilan
Pray as the Zambo-Basilan team comes together in June to formally begin their strategy planning. Pray that God would continue to prepare them for the transition and challenges ahead of them.
Praise God for a Manila-based church that has committed to partner with us by sending a medical/dental team twice a year to Zamboanga and Basilan.
Sinalikway Outreach
Praise God for the ongoing youth activities. Pray for sustained enthusiasm that will lead to a better discipleship environment for the street youth.
Praise God for the homeless mothers’ desire to grow spiritually. They have requested our team to hold another evening for prayer in the park aside from the Wednesday Bible study time.
Praise God for the how he is moving in the lives of the Men in Sex Trade (MIST) our team has been reaching. They meet every month for a meal as well as for meaningful talk. Many have shared deep reflections about their faith in God.
