7 for 2007—Seven wishes for the coming year.

1. Transformation. We wish for God’s hand to move mightily in the lives of Abner, Jalal and Neena (three youths who are now under Mang’s care in the community-based drug rehabilitation program). Pray that His transforming power evident in their and their family’s lives.
2. Salvation. We wish for Farah’s curiosity about the Bible to develop into a sincere yearning for the true and living God. Pray that Grace’s relationship with her will deepen and that they can have a regular Bible Study time.
3. Publication. We wish for our team’s book A Pebble in the Water, A Hoe in the Soil be published this year. Pray for a good publisher and a wide market that would warmly receive our book.
4. Construction. We wish for the Bucana Counseling Room and the Bucana Community Center to be fixed. One side of the counseling room remains to be fixed and a built-in cabinet to be installed. The whole community center is very much in need of a fence. Pray for God’s provision for these construction projects.
5. Transportation. We wish for a vehicle for the drug rehab project, which will also serve as a stand by for the team’s use. The team’s jeep is mostly used for the pre-school during weekdays. Pray for God to provide.
6. Vacation. We wish for God’s provision so we could go on our home assignment to Manila and then to India on November 2007. Pray that we can also bring to India the new things we’ve learned about doing ministry in our two years here in Davao. Intercession. We wish for our friends and prayer partners to remain faithful in the task that God has called them to do. We are praying for you that God would uphold you this coming year. We are praying that you will experience tremendous joy as you stand in the gap for us through your fervent prayers and support.
